A classic and timeless antique 5 stone ring, made of solid buttery 18ct yellow gold. This ring holds stunning blue sapphires and two sparkling white genuine earth mined diamonds, all set into smooth low gallery. The shoulders and detail down the band is deeply carved and highly ornate, with beautiful swirls. A high quality ring, perfect for a curated jewellery collection or to be given as an engagement or wedding ring.

The central gemstone is a gorgeous old cushion cut oval sapphire, with two further old round cut smaller sapphires, these sapphires are all a perfect medium cornflower blue in colour. This ring has two natural diamonds, one diamond is an old mine cut with a tiny cut culet, and the other diamond is more of an old transitional round cut. The gemstones have some tiny natural light inclusions but these don't detract. The old mine cut diamond is slighty darker in tone than the other diamond.

Hallmarks: Hallmarked as 18ct Gold, Birmingham. Makers mark 'W&J.S'. The date letter has been lost when this ring has undergone a resizing at some point in history.

Gemstones: 1x oval cushion cut sapphire 3 x 2.75 mms (approx 0.10cts), 2x round cut diamonds 2.75mms in diameter each (approx 0.16cts combined), 2x round cut sapphire 2mms in diameter each (approx 0.6cts combined)
Ring Face Size: 17 x 4.5 mms.

In good antique condition with just some age related tarnish and wear. The central sapphire has some light wear to the facet edges. One of the diamonds appears to be a later replacement for the original, and is supported in the mount with some discreet jewellers resin to ensure a strong hold. This ring has been resized at some point is history. This ring has been professionally cleaned and polished, it's ready to wear or to give as a gift. Please see the photos.

We offer in-house ring re-sizing. Please contact us if the ring you like is not in your size, we will advise on if it can be sized and will give you a no obligation quote. Some styles (such as full eternity bands) cannot be sized at all, and some rings may only be sized within reason. We are always happy to give honest advice and guidance.

UK Shipping: All items are sent tracked and insured via Royal Mail.

International Shipping:
Items under £200 - are sent with standard shipping, no tracking or insurance.
Items over £200 - are sent with standard shipping that includes a tracking number.

If insurance is required this can be requested, and we will provide a quote for the additional cost. In the event that a parcel goes missing in the post, we cannot be held liable or claim for compensation unless insurance has been chosen.
